Title
Bronze Age casting jet
Description
English: A copper-alloy casting jet of probable Bronze Age date.

The object has a flat, oval surface at the top; below this the sides converge towards a wide, wedge-shaped base. The surfaces have a dark green patina and there are patches of corrosion. It measures 31.4mm long, 24.3mm wide and 20.7mm high. The weight is 42.39g.

Examples of similar casting jets have been found in hoards of Middle to Late Bronze Age metalwork (see, for example, 2006 T36, from Devon).
