Bronze Age barbed and tanged arrowhead
Description
English: A barbed and tanged flint arrowhead, dating from the Early Bronze Age.

The arrowhead has been made from a secondary flake-small patches of cortex remain-and is sub-triangular, the two notches cut into the bottom edge creating a central tang and two inward-curving barbs. The piece is bifacially worked, the retouch being covering, scaled and low angle. The flint is mid grey with a mottled blue surface in places.

Length: 28.9mm; width: 24.6mm; thickness: 4.5mm. Weight: 2.56g.
