Bronze Age Spear head
Description
English: An incomplete copper alloy socketed side-looped spearhead of Bronze age date, consisting of only the shaft of the spearhead. The side loops are semi circular in shape, the outer edges are worn and broken. The midrib section is lozenge shaped. The shaft is broken and worn at both ends, it narrows towards the blade end, the tip is missing. The socket is circular in shape. Similar spearheads on the database have been dated to the Middle to Late Bronze Age, 1500-700 BC. It measures 67.4mm in length,13.9mm at maximum width, 1.2mm in thickness, and weighs 15.00g.
