Title
Bronze Age Scraper Lithic Implement
Description
English: A large and thick flint end scraper of probable early Bronze Age date. The scraper has been made from a secondary waste flake. At the proximal end is the striking platform. Below this on the ventral surface is a bulb of percussion and a bulbar scar. There are a number of flaking scars on the dorsal surface and the distal end has been retouched. This end is quite worn and the dorsal surface overhangs the ventral surface, suggesting heay use and possibly reworking at some point. The mottled light to dark brownish-grey flint has a mid-gloss patina.
