Bronze Age Scraper Lithic Implement
Description
English: A large flint side and end scraper of probable early Bronze Age date. The scraper has been made from a chunky secondary waste flake. At the proximal end is the striking platform and below this on the ventral surface is the pronouced bulb of percussion and a large bulbar scar. Ripples radiate down the ventral surface from this point. The flake has been retouched around the distal end (with the exception of a central area of cortex) and part of the way up one side. The mottled light to dark grey flint has a mid-gloss patina.
