Title
Bronze Age Scraper Lithic Implement
Description
English: A flint end scraper of probable early Bronze Age date. The scraper has been made from a tertiary waste flake. At the proximal end is the striking platform and below this on the ventral surface is the bulb of percussion and a bulbar scar. Slight ripples radiate down the ventral surface from this point. The flake appears to have been retouched at the distal end, but this end having become worn the proximal end was retouched to create a new scraping edge. The mottled light to mid-brown flint has a mid-gloss patina.
