Title
Bronze Age Scraper Lithic Implement
Description
English: A flint end scraper which is probably of early Bronze Age date. The scraper has been made on a tear drop-shaped secondary waste flake. At the proximal end of the ventral side is the striking platform, the bulb of percussion and a pronounced bulbar scar. Slight ripples radiate down the ventral side. The distal end of the dorsal side has been retouched abruptly to form a steep edge. There is a small area of nodule cortex towards the distal end of the dorsal side. The mottled light brown, light grey and cream flint has a mid-gloss patina.
