Title |
Bronze Age Scraper (Tool) |
||
Description |
English: A flint scraper of probable early Bronze Age date. The scraper measures 43.2mm by 35.9mm by 9mm and weighs 14.6g. It has been made from a secondary flake. At the proximal end is the striking platform and below this on the ventral surface is a bulb of percussion and bulbar scar. Ripples radiate down the ventral surface. On the dorsal surface there are a number of flaking scars. The scraper has been coarsely retouched around the distal end and along one side. The mottled light to dark grey flint has a mid-gloss patina. |
