Title |
Bronze Age Plano-Convex Knife Lithic Implement |
||
Description |
English: A broken flint plano-convex knife of early Bronze Age date. The knife has been made from a tertiary waste flake. It has broken so that approximately half of the original implement (including the striking platform and bulb of percussion) is missing. The broken edge appears to have been retouched slightly at some point after the break occurred. There are ripples on the ventral surface. The whole of the dorsal surface is covered with pressure-flaked invasive retouch, as is part of the ventral surface, at the distal end. The mid-brown flint has a mid-gloss patina.
