Description
English: A fragment of a Late Bronze Age copper-alloy socketed axehead (c. 1000 BC-c. 800 BC).

This fragment is the lower part of the blade including the cutting edge. There is a transverse break at the top where the base of the socket is present. In side view it is roughly 'V'-shaped.

The surface is lost due to corrosion except where a thick light brown patina survives.

Height: 22.0mm; width: 37.8mm; thickness: 10.6mm. Weight: 24.93g.
