Merknad: From a journey to the Soviet Union by Eirik Sundvor in 1935.

Eirik Sundvor (1902 - 1992) was a journalist for the newspaper Avisa Nidaros between 1924 and 1940 and from 1945 to approx 1957. Sundvor fled with his wife to England during World War Two where he served as redaksjonssekretær(?) in "Norsk Tidend". Sundvor was well familiar with Russian and was therefore sent on an expedition to Finmark during 1944/45 along with Colonel Arne Dahls. During this expedition he held the rank of Major. Sundvor published the first free Norwegian news paper in Finnmark in 1945. Sundvor moved back to his home town Bergen after Avisa Nidaros went bankrupt where he worked as a correspondent for Dagbladet, covering Western Norway.
