| Description |
English: Broad Street The street Pevesner was always banging on about. It is older than it looks, with most of the buildings having Georgian facades hiding what were considered to be vulgar timber frames. There are rumours of tunnels running under the street as well, and I can remember being shown the blocked off entrance to one of them in a cellar once.
One of these buildings was a doctor's surgery until the new building was built on Gravel Hill. |
