| Description |
English: Broad Street, Oxford - 1981 A view from outside the Clarendon Building west along Broad Street in September 1981. At the time, there were still several general shops on the street providing services for local residents (mainly in the far left hand view of this photo) and traffic could move freely in the area. With the introduction of traffic restrictions and higher leases, the generalists have mainly been replaced by shops concerned with the university and the tourist trade. |
