Summary
[edit]DescriptionBroad Street, Birmingham - tunnel closure blockages - sign - Police Slow (9429166373).jpg |
The end of Broad Street is blocked off, during the 6 week summer school holiday period, while the Queensway tunnels are being refurbished for the first time since they were built over 40 years ago. Only buses and emergency vehicles are allowed through. A Police officer is on guard, making sure that cars turn down Bridge Street (or around). The tunnels are closed for 6 weeks from 19th July to 2nd September 2013. And will close again in summer 2014 (during the same 6 week school holiday period). www.brumtunnels.co.uk I was heading towards Centenary Square to check out for the first time, what parts of Enlightenment had been installed outside the new library!
