Description
English: Broad Head Plantation, Mytholmroyd I should think that this valley was woodland in prehistoric times and then possibly cleared for farming. Then by 1854 (the plantation and its name is shown on the six-inch map of that date) it was used for commercial forestry. Presumably the trees would have been harvested and the natural woodland has regenerated.
