Description
English: Obelisk unveiled in 1818 to mark the first public appearance of Crown Prince Ferdinand of Austria (1793 –1875), later Emperor of Austria (1835 to 1848).

Architect : Alois L. Pichl. Brno, at the foot of the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul.

Obelisk celebrating the contribution of Moravia and Silesia to the collapse of the napoleonic régime, one of the first such monuments in Europe.
