Description
English: Two iron snaffle bits from Hod Hill, Dorset now in the British Museum. Tag on exhibit reads: "Two iron bridle bits, 1st Century AD, Hod Hill, Dorset. Several forms of bridle bit have been found in Roman Britain. these two examples, of the two-link snaffle type, are less severe than the curb bits also used by the Roman army.
