Description
English: Babylonian tablet forming part of an astronomical diary which is the earliest contemporary record of the battle of Gaugamela in 331 BC. It records a lunar eclipse supposedly bringing about death and plague linked to Darius' defeat. Babylon (Iraq), 331-330 BC. British Museum, 1880.0617.496.
