The Wadmore-Hopkins Set is the only known, surviving complete set of First Edition proof impressions from John Curtis's masterwork; British Entomology published in London from 1st January 1824 to 1st December 1839. It comprises 770 hand coloured illustrations and written descriptions of every known insect at that time. Included within the illustrations are what are still considered today to be the finest botanical illustrations from the 19th Century. .
