Description

Dronningens gate 5. Britannia Hotell. I 1870 kjøpte Andreas Myhre Britannia Hotell. Han døde i 1878, og kona Cecilie giftet seg senere med en Klausen. I 1883 ble hele hotellet slik gården er. Trebygningen ble flyttet til Ilevolden 7, der Klausen hadde bolig. I 1916 kom Palmehaven og i 1924 kom Stensrud inn. Den gamle tregården ble oppført tidlig på 1700-tallet av kjøpmann Johan Luytkis, og har bl a vært den kjente biskop Gunnerus bolig. Bygningen ble revet i 1896 for å gi plass for østfløyen av hotellet. Vestfløyen ses her bortenfor tregåden.
