Summary
[edit]DescriptionBristol Bath Road 1 Diesel Locomotive Depot 2066792 dd3f0b3e.jpg |
English: Bristol Bath Road Diesel Locomotive Depot. View eastward, from Temple Meads Station (Platform 12). This was the scene in 1989 - compare 1958 scene ST5972 : Bristol Bath Road Locomotive Depot. All is clean and bright here, with just 'boring' main-line Diesel locomotives to be seen - no steam and smoke, puffing and whistling, only the grumbling of motors and the reek of oil fumes. The Depot replaced the Steam Depot in 1960, but lasted only until 28/9/95. |
