Description |
English: A car is parked in a narrow lot, bordered by a split-rail fence and rolling, tree-covered hills. Brinegar Cabin - Doughton Park. Although the cabin and outbuildings were built in the late 1800s, the site's development as an interpretive landscape corresponded with the Blue Ridge Parkway construction. It included features for visitor use. The arrangement of the original homestead and the organization of the park's features are both significant parts of the landscape today.
