Summary

[edit]
Description
English: View of several mountain buildings from near the summit of the Brienzer Rothorn in Switzerland. The furthest building on the summit ridge is the upper station of the Brienz Rothorn Bahn, the steam rack railway that links the mountain top to Brienz, on the lake of the same name in the canton of Bern and the the left of this image. The next building, largely hidden by a shoulder of the mountain, is a mountain restaurant. The final building is the upper station of the Luftseilbahn Sörenberg Schönenboden-Brienzer Rothorn, a cable car that descends the opposite side of the mountain to Sörenberg in the canton of Lucerne. The summit is shared by the Swiss cantons of Bern (to the left in this shot), Lucerne (right) and Obwalden (behind).
