Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Much of the upper route of the Brienz Rothorn Bahn, seen from the summit station. Descending trains depart from the summit station behind the camera, traversed a 180 degree curve to pass from right to left on the track in the foreground, then curved through another 180 degrees to enter Ober Stafel passing loop from the left to right. From there they proceed down the valley to the right of the crags of Dirrengrind, before sweeping round to the left and continuing their tortuous descent to the lower station at Brienz. The location of this is hidden, but can be inferred from the wake of the lake steamer which has just left the landing stage adjacent to the station, and is sailing down Lake Brienz towards Interlaken.
