Summary
[edit]DescriptionBridleway up Cwm Gwrach to Abergwesyn, Powys - geograph.org.uk - 1530366.jpg |
English: Bridleway up Cwm Gwrach to Abergwesyn, Powys Wending its way among the gorse, the bracken and the tussocky grass, the way is easy to follow at this stage. When it was established there was no Llyn Brianne filling up the Tywi Valley, no road around it, and no forestry plantations, so this bridleway must have been a route ridden and walked by residents of local isolated farmsteads by the Tywi. Alternatively, as it is not marked on 1940s OS maps, it could just be a more recent leisure route between two picturesque venues. Can anyone local help?
Someone appears to have left red and white plastic markers at intervals all the way from the road to the saddle ahead. I expect there was an event planned for the following weekend. |
