Description
English: Bridleway on Goonzion Downs, St. Neot, Cornwall. Looking East. Goonzion means 'dry downs'. The soil is poor and there is no running water. Small ponds are evident in hollows created by old mine workings. Copper and tin was extracted here. The vegetation is course grass, gorse and bracken. The downs are grazed by ponies and cattle.
