| Description |
English: Bridleway, Nant Gwernog Plantation, Ceredigion With 80% of the forest felled during 2007 and 2008 this bridleway suddenly emerges form the gloom after decades. The GPS reading confirms that the track never went where the map told me it should. Were the original bridleway lines on the map never changed after the forest was planted? Further up in the areas where the trees have gone there is evidence that specific ways have been deliberately emphasised on the ground leading to rider friendly gates in the forest boundary fence. These tracks and routes are NOT exactly as on the maps, so maybe new ways have been agreed. |
