HISTORICAL SKETCH. 19 BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS. The school building is a massive structure, built in three blocks withnarrower connections, thus giving good light and air in all the rooms.It is constructed of red and mottled brick with blue marble trimmings,and has a slate roof. It is eighty-seven feet wide in front, three hun-dred and fourteen feet in length, and three stories and the basement inheight In the basement are two lunch rooms, two play rooms with toilet roomsfor primary grades, two engine and fan rooms, an engineers room, agymnasium, two class rooms, and the industrial laboratory.
