Summary
[edit]DescriptionBridge over Blackhorse Road - geograph.org.uk - 45710.jpg |
English: Bridge over Blackhorse Road. When the London & Southampton Railway was built in 1838 the size of road vehicles that of a drayman's beer or construction cart, so it built about half of its rural railway bridges and openings in viaducts of that width. This one, over Blackhorse Road, is of the latter type, the railway being on a normal cross-depression phase of mixed embankment and viaduct. |
