Summary
[edit]DescriptionBridge of Weir railway station, Renfrewshire, 1983 (geograph 6739321).jpg |
English: Bridge of Weir railway station, Renfrewshire, 1983 Opened in 1869 on the Glasgow & South Western Railway's line from Glasgow via Paisley (Canal station) to Greenock, this station replaced an earlier 1864 terminus station out of view to the right, when the line was extended. This station closed with the line in 1983. View north west from a train (hence the poor quality) towards Kilmacolm and, formerly, Greenock. In 2020 the course of the railway had become a footpath. |
