O CASTRO DE ALTAMIRA (TABOEXA, AS NEVES) Deste castro romanizado proceden numerosos achados casuais que tal vez poidan ser relacionados cun obradoiro de fundición de bronces. A maior parte das pezas parecen ser descartes debidos a defectos de fundición e destinados polo tanto a ser fundidos de novo. Pola ausencia de restos de moldes descoñecemos cantas destas terían sido producidas no taller e cantas adquiridas como ferralla no exterior. En calquera caso, percíbense dúas tradicións diferentes: a romana clásica (pequenas aras, lucernas, un Mercurio, un togado, un bóvido, un pé co calceus senatorius, un brazo, unha man con coroa...) e a indíxena (restos de sítulas decoradas, fíbulas, fibelas, talvez a carrilleira dun casco...) Moedas, escouras, crisois e fragmentos cerámicos completan os achados deste xacemento pendente dunha investigación detallada. |
