English: Visitors from the Brazilian Navy learn about a light armored vehicle at a static display hosted by Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South aboard the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), Aug. 5, 2014. The visitors saw several static displays hosted by Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South, showcasing the capabilities that the SPMAGTF brings to the Ship. The Marines with SPMAGTF-South are embarked aboard America on her maiden transit “America Visits the Americas.” The transit aims to demonstrate the capabilities that the Navy-Marine Corps team brings to our nation and partners, and to further the bond between the U.S. and Brazil. America is scheduled to be commissioned in San Francisco, Oct. 11. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Christopher J. Moore/Released) |
