English: An internally transportable vehicle attached to Special Purpose Marine Air
Ground Task Force South is staged inside the hangar bay of the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) at her port visit in Rio De Janeiro, Aug. 5, 2014. This ship hosted tours for distinguished visitors with several static displays showcasing the capabilities that the SPMAGTF brings to the Ship. The Marines with SPMAGTF-South are embarked aboard America on her maiden transit "America Visits the Americas." The transit aims to demonstrate the capabilities that the Navy-Marine Corps team brings to our nation and partners, and to further the bond between the U.S. and Brazil. America is scheduled to be commissioned in San Francisco, Oct. 11. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Christopher J. Moore/Released) |
