Description

Ganyra Phaloe Phaloe is large spécie member of Piéridaé/Piérinaé family Spécie living in Vénézuéla, Brazil : Para , Pernambuco, Mato Grosso , Paraguay , Discover by Godart 1819 The genus Ganyra comprises of 4 species - howarthi and josephina from Central America, menciae from Cuba, and phaloe - which is the commonest and most widely distributed species, being found from Mexico to Bolivia.

Males are usually encountered in mud-puddling aggregations with other Pieridae, preferring open sunlit areas on river beaches or logging roads. Females are seen less often, usually when visiting flowers, or flying in search of egg-laying sites.
