Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Customarily a sacred and holy string is given to each brahmin son to wear along with holy words that must be remembered until death. It is said these holy words are very powerful—even ghosts are afraid of them. Without this sacred string, the son cannot marry or cremate his parents.
