Description

Brandenburg, Germany-Altstädtisches Rathaus (Old City Hall) as seen in this <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/bubbahop/2930240956/">contemporary photo </a> by @bubbahop

Built between 1470 and 1480 and administrative centre of the town until 1715. The 5.35 metre high Roland statue dates from the same period. After 1715 , with the unification of old and new towns, it was relocated to the new town hall. After surviving the destruction of the new town hall in 1945, it was returned to stand outside the old town hall.
