English: The Saint John's Gate leading from the St. John's Cathedral to the Royal Castle was built 1643-1644 by King Władysław IV to design by Constantino Tencalla. In the beginning of the 18th century it was adorned with rococo sculptures including heraldical Polish eagle and globes.
