Description
English: The Lieutenant-General Manuel Jorge Gomes de Sepúlveda (1735-1814), 'Governador das Armas' of the Trás-os-Montes province, calls up the population of Bragança to rise against the napoleonic regime, on 11 June 1808.

The cartouche reads : "O heroico brigantino tenente-general Manuel Jorge Gomes de Sepúlveda, na tarde do dia 11 de junho de 1808, nas escadas da egreja de São Vivente, falando ao povo de Bragança que o aclama come chefe do movimento que iniciou a libertação de Portugal do dominio francez."
