B.P.M. 405 À SÀI-GÒN

18 OCTOBRE 1945 : Ouverture de la Direction des Postes Militaires à Sài-Gòn, sous les ordres du colonel Jourdan. A partir de cette date, les postiers militaires seront considérés comme «Combattants» (décret du 18.1.57).

Arrivée du Croiseur «Suffren » et ouverture le 21 octobre du premier B.P.M. à Sài-Gòn, c'est le B.P.M.405.

Il utilise d'abord les anciens cachets muets «POSTES AUX ARMEES / ★ » ("postes" au pluriel) hérités de la seconde guerre mondiale.

Ultérieurement un cachet sans les étoiles sera utilisé.
