English: I am the daughter of the pastor of a church many consider to be a cult. I knew I loved girls the way that the other girls loved boys when I was just a child. My parents taught me that alone I was insufficient and undeserving of God's favour, especially this part of me, which needed to be suppressed, because it was the thing that made me an abomination. I left that church a couple of months ago, after years and years of debilitating self-hatred and asceticism--and that's when I met Bozhana. She has since taught me that, though it can be nice to be favoured by others, what truly matters is that we are at peace with ourselves. I have not yet learnt how to love myself, but each day I strive to hate myself a little less. One day I believe that I will be able to look at myself with the same love that fills her eyes when she looks at me. For now, I sit here and smile to myself, and I wait for her to come home.
