Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Located at Schooner Gulch State Beach along the Mendocino coast in California is Bowling Ball Beach. An interesting geologic phenomena can be observed during low tides. Hard mineral deposits form 4' to 5' in diameter 'bowling balls.' Wave action over millions of years has worn away the softer material where the mineral deposits originally formed.
