Description
English: Bowl, flambe Sung. With exterior and interior glaze in red, blue and green. A group of transmutation glazes with addtional colour obtained by the uses of metallic oxides were initially included in the Flambe range but carried the Sung from 1919- they were first exhibited as such at the British Industries Fair at Crystal Palace in 1920. Like the Flambe wares, Sung pieces often have painted underglaze decoration in black. (Cameron,1986, pp. 113-114)
