English: A cast, copper alloy bow brooch fragment dating to the first or second century AD. The fragment comprises the foot of the brooch and a small portion of the bow. The foot is semi-circular in plan and is ribbed. it extends to a flat, plain bow. The catch plate is triangular in shape and heavily encrusted. |
