Title
Bow and foot of Saxon brooch
Description
English: The copper alloy bow, foot and catchplate of an Anglo-Saxon brooch. The bow is plain and arched. It extends to a tapering foot, which is rectangular in section. The upper surface of the foot is decorated with horizontal incised lines. At the end of the foot are two mouldings. These are also incised. On the reverse, is a semi-circular catchplate which appears to have been damaged. With the foot missing, it is impossible to tell whether this is a cruciform or small-long brooch.
