Summary

[edit]
Description
English: In the nature park (400 ha, created in 1968) of the old priory, now castle, of Boutissaint, near Treigny in Puisaye, south of Yonne departement, Bourgogne, France. This photo shows (from a respectable distance!) a wild boar wandering freely on the slope that used to border the north side of the "étang des Moines" (the "Monks' pond") before a tree fell on the levy that held the pond's water, breaking said levy and bringing the pond to totally dry up in a few short months. The owner and park manageress Mrs Valérie Galabert, daughter of the parc creator Mr Pierre-Elie Borione, has endeavoured to raise the cash needed to restore the pond, which is an important watering point for the animals in the park.
