| Description |
English: The old priory, now castle of Boutissaint, near Treigny in Puisaye, south of Yonne departement, Bourgogne, France. Built in the 16th century, it is now famous for its ~1,000 acre animal park spreading over ~1,000 acres, created in 1968. The park includes European bisons along with mouflons, deers, fallow deers, boars and many other local animals, in a forest typical of Puisaye: wild, with lots of streams and ponds and full of fascinating secret places. The ivy-covered side of the castle looks towards the north-west. On the right hand-side of the picture is the Sainte-Langueur chapel.
Français : Vieux prieuré, maintenant château de Boutissaint près de Treigny en Puisaye, au sud du département de l'Yonne, Bourgogne, France. Construit au XVIe siècle, il est de nos jours réputé pour son parc animalier sur 400 hectares créé en 1968. Le parc inclut bisons d'Europe, mouflons, cerfs, daims, sangliers et de nombreux autres animaux d'origine locale, le tout dans une forêt typique de Puisaye : sauvage, avec de nombreux étangs et petits cours d'eau et remplie d'endroits secrets fascinants. La façade du château vue ici garnie de lierre, est tournée vers le nord-est. Sur le côté droit de la photo on peut voir la chapelle de Sainte-Langueur. |
