Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Bourne railway station (site), Lincolnshire
Opened in 1860 as the terminus of the Essendine & Bourne Railway, this station was rebuilt as a through station in 1866 as lines progressively joined from four directions. The final one made it part of the Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway from Leicester to Norfolk. It closed to passengers in 1959 and completely in 1965. View south past Red Hall (which was made into part of the station) towards the platforms which ran left to right behind the hall. Taken from roughly the same position as TF0919 : Bourne Station - and the Red Hall almost on the Platform' 51 years earlier.
