Église Saint-Georges de Bourbon-l'Archambault
Place of creation Clermont-Ferrand
Object history On 12 June 1791, the relics of the True Cross and the Holy Spine, which had been kept until then in the Sainte-Chapelle of the castle, were deposited in a vault closed by an iron door, this chapel took then the name of Chapel of the Holy Cross. It was remodelled in 1836, on the initiative of Father Desrosiers
Inscriptions his chapel is dedicated to the precious relic of the True Cross saved on June 12, 1791 by Mr. Petijean, parish priest of Bourbon. Raised by Father Goigoux, his successor, the restoration is due to the zeal of Mr. Desrosiers, priest of this parish and the piety of the inhabitants and a large number of faithful.
