| Description |
English: Boundary fence on Kingston Great Common, New Forest. This fence crosses the mires and heath of Kingston Great Common, dividing the National Nature Reserve (to the left) and the Crown lands of the New Forest (to the right). This is a fairly arbitrary boundary, following a straight line for over 3 kilometres between Lugden Barrow in the south and Knaves Ash barrow in the north. As well as being part of the traditional perambulation of the New Forest, it is also the boundary between Ringwood and Burley parishes. It is not a good walking route, due to the bogginess of the mire underfoot, see 494858. |
