Title
English: Bound Print, Quarter of a Ceiling, Livre de Plafonds (Book of Ceilings), 1740
Description
English: Design for a ceiling with water motifs. Upper left (presumed central ceiling motif) seated on an arrangement of coral and shell, a putto figure blowing water through a horn. A triton and paddle to the right side. A rustic god blowing wind, at left. Below at right angle an asymmetric design with putti, fish nets, tritons, a water fountain (in corner), flowers, leaves and cartouches, elements of a fantastic water design. Sections are connected with dotted lines, presumably as a guide for the stucco decor.
